On August 6, 1945, President Harry Truman informed the world that an atomic bomb had been detonated on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. This was a very stressful time for America because we were deeply engaged in World War II. There were many factors to the decision of dropping a nuclear weapon on Hiroshima. Most people are either on one side of the fence or the other when this topic is brought up, They either side with the negative effects and strongly disagreed with Truman's decision or seek the positive outcome and agree with his decision.
