Greece has always been a country ive longed to travel, greek food is one of my favorites and the landscapes-from what ive seen in pictures- are enough to amaze me. There is so much to see, to taste, to explore, to discover, and feel. Researching Greece is the closest ill get to being there (for now atleast) I hope to one day I get the opportunity to go and experience and explore Greece head on, it would truly be a dream come true. Guardedness and friendliness is something tourists comment about the people in Greece, tourists are treated with the most upper respect at hotels and restaurants. According to an article by Zachary Karabell “Greece depends on tourism for somewhere between 15% and 20% of its overall GDP of nearly %350 billion, and its impact is probably greater than that when you add in spending in stores and restaurants in Athens and other tourist destinations.” The income that Greece receives from tourists has become essential so Greece is able to repay its debts. My friends parents went on a cruise to Greece in 2011and I briefly talked to them about their experience with the economic crisis going on and they said that it affected their trip because there were protests and riots going on and that it put a huge toll on the tourism part because they were limited on the places they could go to. Because of this economic crisis the workers at national parks in Greece have not been working a lot because the viewing of these monuments and sceneries are limited to tourists.
