The book Golden Goblet written by Eloise Jarvis McGraw entertains the reader about a young ancient Egyptian boy named Ranofer who wants to be a goldsmith. The book illustrates that Ranofer lives with his older wicked half-brother Gebu. Later in the story Ranofer discovers out that Gebu has been stealing gold from the goldsmiths shop which leads Ranofer to spying on him to find evidence that he has been stealing from the shop. Moreover of spying on Gebu Ranofer concludes that Gebu had been stealing gold, and clarifies he was going to the tomb to steal the gold from the Pharaohs parents tomb after he had followed them to the tomb then traps them therefore it informs the reader about the most important event in the story is when Ranofer traps Wenamon Gebu’s assistant and Gebu in the tomb. …show more content…

Before he could meet the Pharaoh he had to provide evidence that he really saw them robbing the tomb to the guards and everyone else who questioned him. When he met the Pharaoh he had to provide evidence about what was the object was on the north wall. After informed the Pharaoh that the object on the north wall was the Pharaohs fathers oaken staff. Afterwards the Pharaoh sent guards to the tomb, and they found them and trapped them in the tomb and had gotten them in trouble. After Ranofer had told the pharaoh and had gotten Gebu and Wenamon in trouble he had a relief off his back because he knew that he wouldn’t have to worry about him getting in trouble from Gebu and losing his chances of becoming a goldsmith. He also knew that he would be able to succeed in his dreams of having a donkey and building a house and living without trouble on his back all the time. Lastley Ranofer won’t have to worry about being spied on by Gebu and doing what he wishes to do in
