Global warming is a topic that has received much attention in recent years, but it is not a recent problem. An estimated seven billion tons of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere yearly. Global warming is directly caused by burning of fossil fuels, industrial, farming, and deforestation. Natural disasters have drastically increased in the past decades. For example, In January 24, 2010, Haiti was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that took the lives of 316,000 people were killed. Some of these natural disaster were once largely preventable, but over the past two decades the lack of interest by our elected official and law makers causes the lack of preparedness. Now we are force to deal with the reality of rising temperatures, the increase of natural disaster, and the serious impacts that tags along with them. The time for action is now, the fact can no longer be ignored for the result will be catastrophic. Global warming is one of the most dangerous threat that humanity has ever faced. The changes to our climate comes with deadly risks, because of the increase in extreme heat, natural disaster, poor air quality, allergens, and the spread of diseases. Fortunately, the problem can be addressed by fully understand the urgency of climate change. We must understand the importance of the impacts on society and the natural environment. Global warming is not only inducing changes, it is currently becoming aggressive; because of the rising sea levels, high temperatures are shrinking the glaciers, regional severe rainstorms, and droughts are becoming increasingly common. The high temperatures are causing changes in the patterns of snow and rain fall, plants and animals behaviors have been altered, and it also have implications f... ... middle of paper ... ...gy to improve and minimize our carbon emissions is available, we should use it and built a better future for our children's future. The natural resources are also available for use in the battle against global warming. By reducing tropical deforestation can remarkably lower global warming emissions and by combining the efforts with reducing emissions of fossil fuels. The media so called think tanks, and special interest groups that are funded by fossil fuel industries raise doubts about the truth of global warming in the mind of the public. The intentional misleading of the information to confuse the public about the growing impacts of global warming and makes it more difficult to implement solutions to effectively reduce the man-made emissions that cause global warming. Those efforts could play an important role in an extensive durable solution to global warming.
