Girlfriend Chapter Summaries

The book has three parts. It all starts in New York, Zachary Rubin, Micah Wilkins boyfriend is missing and his body is found. When principle Paul Jones tells them there are all in disbelief. The counselor walks in and has the whole class sit in a big circle so they can talk about it. Brandon one of their classmates says you can ask Micah she was his girlfriend. Sara another one of their classmates says “she wasn’t his girlfriend” “I was” (13 Larbalestier) and Tayshawn, Zack’s befriend agrees. Then Brandon says “you where his at-school girlfriend” (13 Larbalestier) “Micah was for after hours” (13 Larbalestier). Another big lies she tells is that she has never gone to a doctor her parents are scared of blood samples. “I’m not sure I can face Sarah and Tayshawn” (233 Larbalestier) Micah says that they day after the funeral because she just wants to be alone. “Erin Moncaster isn’t dead” (237 Larbalestier) Tayshawn tells Micah and Sarah, she was found in Florida, this shows that she wasn’t killed by a wolf. The next lie is that Micah doesn’t have a little brother. All she wanted to do is see if she could invent a person and be believable. All she does know is hang out with Sarah and Tayshawn. After that she goes up state with her family her parents wait for her to get home, they asked her why she didn’t tell them about the dogs and Zack. She tells them the night Zack died she had turned wolf and hid in a park across town nowhere near where Zack was found dead. She insist that she didn’t kill him another wolf did. She then finds him and takes him to her parents where he admits to being a wolf. After that she tells the truth about her brother she really did have a brother but something happened to him that they don’t talk about. They take the boy to Micah’s grandma’s house where he can be free to be a wolf. Micah’s parents kick her out of her house and her biology teacher invites her to stay at her house. There she tells her teacher the truth that she turns into a wolf sometimes. Yayeko wanted to talk to the school she went to so they could research Micah and her problem, but Micah decides to get a scholarship for her running and she will research herself when she studies
