George Howell , a well-known entrepreneur, invented the Frappuccino. Howell opened the Coffee Connection in Boston, Massachusetts. The café was a great success. Howell decided that he wanted to use the finest of green coffee to make the "best" cup of coffee. He wanted to create a way to preserve and keep the coffee fresh Howell was originally raised in New Jersey. At age 13, Howell and his family moved to New Mexico. In 1964, Howell attended Yale University where he studied art history, modern French and Spanish literature. But later in Howell's college years, he started going to New York City's jazz clubs. In 1967, Howell dropped out of Yale University. In 1967, while at a jazz club, Howell met his future wife Laurie. Later in 1968, Laurie and Howell moved to Berkley, California. Howell should be awarded a lifetime achievement award. In the history of America there has not been a more devoted man in the coffee world (Nanos 1-4). There are also forms of slang for the Frappuccino. Mostly known on social media as the "frappe", this remarkable invention has sent the Starbucks to a land beyond belief with its incredible amount of sales. Has social media been the reason why the Frappuccino has become world famous? The trends have stellar reactions that have people at Starbucks at least 2 times a week at the least. Starbucks should not have any problems for a while. With its great service, friendly staff, and delicious goods, Starbucks is a friendly environment that satisfies many customers.
