The novel is about Hiro a young pizza delivery man who also had skills as an expert hacker and a swordsman. The writer’s story is mainly around the experiences of Hiro who was seeking a solution to a virus that was being used by a cult to take control of the world by controlling the masses. The main characters in the novel Y.T and Hiro meet as they carruout research to find a cure for the deadly virus. The novel portrays the theme of gender an sexuality as well as the manner in which the current world views these themes in the current setting.

The women in the book seem to take up important and powerful roles that make significant change in the key areas of the narrative. The writer asserts that women can be independent, intelligent, assertive, and similar to the men, women can survive in the street by being smart. This is illuminated by the fact that a majority of women in the book are good hackers. The skills and character of the women help in discovering the cure for the virus. They are given roles that are not traditional and instead they take on leadership positions that are a great determinant of the success of the mission. This is unlike the notion in most scientific novels that leaves out women. This is portrayed by one of the major characters Y.T who worked hand in hand with the protagonist of the novel to bring out different skills and talents of women. The fact that the Mafia entrusted this mission to her indicates that they believe that she is smart and strong enough to carry out the mission without compromising their positions. However, she has never been in a conflict with the Mafia neither.
