Stereotypes are a side of our everyday life. We tend to hear stereotypes every day and everywhere. Frequently, we can find ourselves in a position where we make stereotypes for a big category of people. Every one of us, young or old, is characterized with either positive or negative stereotypes. For Friends((1994-2004), an example of racial stereotype is a short familiar course from the first version of the theme song: "Your job 's a joke, you 're broke, but you 're white so it 's okay!"Living in New York City, not one of the six friends is black. For certain, it 's likely, but they could have without difficulty, put a black person in the mix and kept it from being all-white-everything. But they didn’t which makes it a stereotype show and because it’s grouping the race together to show that everyone of that show is better off without a black person which is very racist in my opinion and in many. In this show for example, the one that I find most offensive is Han Lee’s personality and characteristics. The show is about him owning a restaurant and Max and Caroline are the waitresses working there. He constantly misunderstands the culture of America, obsessed with work and is short, speaks in broken English, and is asexual. And not only does the character have all these stereotypes, he’s then derided by the characters because of those classifications. Furthermore, except that he’s Asian, the character isn’t given any deepness or understanding and no notice is given to his person’s background nor tradition or birthright. Another example besides the hurtful Asian character, is character named Oleg that plays a stereotype that is an Eastern European. He’s obsessed with sex, dressing horrible, and communicates like he’s doing a bad impersonation and impression. An additional example specificity is the show doesn’t look to be pleased with just having little depth an racial exaggeration description for characters, they also say hurtful things. On an episode in the fourth season, Han told the other characters that he’s was talking to a girl who was Australian, online by saying, “She’s
