Forrest Gump Argumentative Review Forrest Gump is a movie that goes over a man's life and how he exceeded many challenges with luck and perseverance and who just happens to find himself in nearly every major event of the second half of the 20th century. Below are is an summary of the movie and after that is and review of the review of the movie, arguing which point the reviewer got right and which are agreed upon. Kennedy, right before he got shot. After college Forrest went into the Army and talked about him meeting his best friend Bubba. He was in the Vietnam War where he met Lieutenant Dan. Deeper in the war they got ambushed by the Viet Cong resulting in Bubba dying and Lieutenant Dan losing both of his legs. In result of Lt. Dan losing his legs he becomes enraged at Forrest because he believes it is his destiny to die in honor on the battlefield. The movies then moves on to hip going to Washington D.C. to earn his medal of honor for his bravery of rescuing two of platoon members. At this time the hippie movement was going on and everyone in it was anti-war. Amongst this group was Jenny. Jenny gets abused by her current boyfriend and Forrest comes in to save the day, later resulting in Jenny telling Forrest about all her travels and Forrest giving her his medal of honor. Forrest proceeds to pick up the sport ping pong while still enlisted in the army. As it so happens to turn out he’s amazing at the sport and he lands in the All-American Ping Pong team.
