This movie is about two doctors who makes horrible creations for good reasons. One doctor tries to make mankind better and stronger. The other tries to make a way to protect people. The two doctors end up making horrible creations that are damaging to the people they are trying to protect or improve on. The first scientist we are going to talk about is named joseph. He is a weapons creator making various types of weapons presumably. One imparticular is a laser of some kind. He says he wants to make something that will work without the side effect of possibly destroying the earth, the one he made and is trying to improve on does have its side effect. He asks if it is electric and joseph says yes. Frankenstein is very curious and almost excited about that. This is more foreshadowing for the rest of the movie. They continue to talk for a while until someone says sorry to Frankenstein about his brother. That is when he gets up and leaves. Joseph follows him into the forest and then sees Frankenstein talking to someone. Joseph falls and hits his head on a rock and goes into a dream like state. In this dream we hear the words an abomination in gods eyes. That is more foreshadowing for things to come. Joseph meets Mary Godwin and she tells him how she thinks that a monster did the killing and not the girl that the town is accusing. In a world full of novelty, guidance is essential to whether a being’s character progresses positively or negatively in society. Parents have a fundamental role in the development of their children. A parent’s devotion or negligence towards their child will foster a feeling of trust or mistrust in the latter. This feeling of mistrust due to the lack of guidance from a parental figure is represented in the relationship between Victor Frankenstein and his creation in Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein. The creature created by Frankenstein was shown hatred and disgust from the very beginning, which led to its indignant feelings toward his creator and his kind.

The monster tells Frankenstein of the wretchedness of the world and how it was not meant for a being such as himself. At the end of his insightful tale the creature demands a companion of the same hideous features but of the opposite gender to become his. Victor only has the choice to make the monster or suffer a lifetime of horror his creation would bring upon him. Which the creator ultimately agrees to make the female monster to save the lives of his family but gains a conscious that fills with guilt of all the destruction he has created and creating. When the monster comes to collect the female he tears her apart and the monster vows to destroy all Victor holds dear. The monster’s emotional sense is consumed with rage against Victor, murdering Frankenstein’s best friend. Though when the monster’s framing ways do not work to lead to Victor being executed, he then murders Frankenstein’s wife on their wedding night. This tragedy is the last for Victor’s father who becomes ill with grief and quickly passes within a few days, leaving Victor with nothing but his own regret. Shelley doesn’t give the audience the monsters side of the story but hints that the remainder of his journey consisted of being a shadow to that of his creator. Promptly, Shelly began to conceive a horrific tale that demonstrates the detrimental effects of isolation on the mind and soul. In the novel Frankenstein, author Mary Shelley delineates the theme of isolation and its destructive power using evolution in tone, allusions to the Bible, and symbolism.
The first part of the novel brings us into the life of Victor Frankenstein, who was born to a rich Geneva family, with two other siblings Victor and Ernest. Further into the book we also come to know Elizabeth, who was adopted by Victor’s parents, when Victor was four. Throughout most of literature and history, the notion of ‘the woman’ has been little more than a caricature of the actual female identity. Most works of literature rely on only a handful of tropes for their female characters and often use women to prop up the male characters: female characters are sacrificed for plot development. It may be that the author actually sacrifices a female character by killing her off, like Mary Shelly did in Frankenstein in order to get Victor Frankenstein to confront the monster he had created, or by reducing a character to just a childish girl who only fulfills a trope, as Oscar Wilde did with Cecily and Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest. Relevancy of Frankenstein “The most miserable people are those who care only about themselves, understand only their own troubles and see only their own perspective.” This quote from an unknown source perfectly describes how selfish people are not always happy and they are not helping anyone except themselves. Victor Frankenstein shows many qualities that he is a very selfish person, and Frankenstein has been relevant for almost 200 years, but why? One of the major reasons is that we can learn from and understand that Victor Frankenstein was selfish and only cared about what he thought was right.
In this alternate ending chapter to Frankenstein, Victor does not run away from his problems, but instead he decides to tackle them and does not see them as nearly as big of problems. He realizes that he needs to nurture his creation in the beginning instead of in the end when it is too late. He accepts the creature and decides to let his closest friend in and accept the creature as well. This chapter includes the gothic and romantic element of the supernatural creatures that Victor created. It also includes the romantic element of love of nature. Frank becomes fascinated with nature during Victor and Frank’s walk in the woods, and Frank and Vicki decide to live out their lives deep in the woods.

After the creation of the monster and throughout Victor’s life he and the monster suffer constantly. Because Victor keeps his monster a secret from his family, friends and society, he is alone and miserable. The monster is also alone and miserable because he is shunned by society due to his grotesque appearance.
