Film Review 1)The story takes place in 2027, England. After 18 years of global human infertility the world has collapsed. The United Kingdom is the only nation with a stable government. There is a war going on between British government and countless immigrants who seek their way into the country. Theo Faron, the main character, is kidnapped by a militant immigrants' rights group ‘the Fishes’’. Their leader of the group turns out to be Theo’s wife Julian Taylor from who he has been separated for many years. Julian offers Theo money to acquire transit papers for a young refugee named Kee. However, the bearer must be accompanied, so Theo agrees to escort Kee in exchange for a larger sum. One of “the Fishes” member drives them. However their car is unexpectedly ambushed by a gang and Julian is killed. They escape to “the Fishes” safe house. Kee turns out to be the firs pregnant woman in 18 years. Kee tells Theo that Julian wanted him to get her to the "Human Project". “Human Project” is an independent group of scientist who are looking for infertility cure. During the night in the safe house, Theo hears a conversation in which “the Fishes” intend using Kee’s baby as a political tool to support the coming revolution. Theo and Kee escape to the house of Theo’s friend Jasper. They come up with a plan to board a ship from the human project which will arrive offshore from Bexhill refugee camp. “The Fishes” discover Jasper’s house and break in to capture them. .Before escaping with Theo witnesses the Fishes murder Jasper. They finally get to the Bexhill refugee camp. At the camp Theo and Kee meet a woman who provides a them a small room. That same night Kee gives bith to a girl. The next day, a war breaks out between the refugees an... ... middle of paper ... ...ons seems to be. At the end of the movie the director gave viewers a choice. When the ship comes to pick up Kee it is not clear whether people will find a cure for infertility or not. We can decide whether there is hope in the end of the film or not. Based on the message portrayed in the film, there is a chance that the story will have a happy ending. Even if the chance is small, we now know that there is hope in every situation. 6)I liked everything about the movie. The plot and the choice of characters were good. I was interested the whole time while watching the movie. The movie made me worry about the main character and really experience his feelings. It felt like I was going thought that adventure with him. The film is an excellent dystopian strory and is definitely worth watching if you like dystopian fiction. I would rate the movie 5 stars out of five.
Overall I like the movie because it is emotionally raw with a considerable amount of violence and action that isn’t senseless and is instead a product of the emotional rawness of it all. Also because the Ho Yay between Orange and White is considerable and it makes for a rather interesting watch.
1. As I was reading the book Clockwork Orange, I felt like it deserved a 8 out of 10. I enjoyed the book because while I was reading it, I did not have such a clear image of all the rape, sex, and violence. Talking from personal experiences, I did not want to picture those images in my head. Finding out there was a movie of Clockwork Orange kind of scared me but also gave me excitement because I wanted to see how different the the book was from the movie. After viewing Clockwork Orange, I would rate it a 7 out of 10. I rated it a 7 out of 10 because the rape and violence was overused. In the beginning of the movie, there were non-stop sex and rape scenes. For example, when Alex and his goons fake their way into an emergency just so they could attack a older man and rape his wife, who later dies because of this accident. Toward the end of the movie, there was a lot of
It’s a novel that has a little bit of everything for everybody. The only reason I didn’t give the it a 10/10 is because it’s hard to nail down who the main characters are (even though I would argue that with so many great characters, there really doesn’t need to be a main character), and there are some sexual scenes in the novel I found to be semi-unnecessary, which might make some people dislike the whole story. However, I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who want a genuinely fantastic story to read, people interested in a novel full of vibrant, realistic, and sometimes flawed (in a good way) characters, or anyone with some time to kill for long stretches, because they won’t want to put this book
Although I have read this book before, I still enjoy reading the stories of the hardship and challenges the immigrants overcame. Issues such as drugs and discrimination have been addressed in the book and the response the victims of such issues got from the concerned authorities in relation to their complaints. The book is based on narrations of real time events and the stereotypes that put the immigrants on the wrong side of the law almost all the time. Additionally, the need for reform can be seen from this novel where immigrants themselves echo their dissatisfaction with the current state of things in the US.
The topic of the abuse of Orcas in captivity is a widespread injustice that culminates in the biggest orca training water park in the country, SeaWorld. Unfortunately, this abuse is practiced all over the world and is a major issue that many people want to see end. The documentary, Blackfish, presents these issues by educating people on the abusive conditions that takes place in these water parks. In the movie, one can see just how significant this problem is and the impact that it has had on the population of the orcas around the world. Furthermore, it is a problem that it is too significant to be solved by simply attacking the problem head on. There are simple yet complicated methods and small steps that must be taken in order to solve
On a scale from one to ten, I give this movie a seven. This film was well written and directed; the he plot was confusing at first, once I figured out that Christopher Nolan was trying to do, the rest of the story line was fairly easy to follow.
The movie on the whole was really great. It was filled with some pretty gory scenes and extreme violent content, Tarantinos' trademark. The way he portrays the real life aspects of crime and violence are unbelievable. I wonder if he experienced some of these things himself and that's why he has a realistic view of them. Then again, I can't really gauge how realistic any of these themes are because after watching this kind of movie it makes me feel like I lead a really sheltered lifestyle.
With all things above considered, this an awesome movie definetly worth watching. Out of a 1-10 rating scale, one being the worst, and ten being the best, I give this a movie an 8. This was a movie that will get your heart pumping and leave you thirsting for more.
In conclusion I think that book was amazing to read and I really enjoyed interpreting the different themes but the film added more depth and option for opinions for the story. For example hoe the director decided to present the characters and the ending of the book. The book can talk the talk but the film can walk the walk.
...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.
I feel that the movie has no weaknesses. This is because even though I had a few things I didn’t like such as the anonymity given, I realised that there was a reason for this which I explained in my strengths of the movie below.
Finally the movie is a good movie. Actually this movie doesn’t need any improvement. The writer, actresses, and actors did their best. They tried to make a point and be a creative about it and that is exactly what they did. It is an amazing movie. I
The book and the movie were both very good. The book took time to explain things like setting, people’s emotions, people’s traits, and important background information. There was no time for these explanations the movie. The book, however, had parts in the beginning where some readers could become flustered.
That fish is Edward Bloom. A compulsive storyteller, who enjoyed living life to it’s fullest. This extraordinary film is based on a collection of cleverly crafted stories from the novel, by Daniel Wallace. William Bloom (Billy Crudup) is a journalist who wants to find the truth behind his fathers’ mythical stories, to find out the truth about Edward, who is dying of cancer. For too long has Will heard the unending series of tales his father claims is his life.
The movie was an interesting movie because it has the ability to make you react with many emotions. The movie follows characters that live in Los Angeles and the characters are involved in each other characters’ lives. With each character I had a first impression and I would most of the time end up with different impressions of them in the end. There are a few concepts I noticed and created after watching the film. I had a variety of emotions while watching the film, the most notable emotions were angry to hopeful. Regarding racism the action I could take is to not always rely on stereotypes.
