I think it is very important for children to engage in imaginative and creative play. The reason I say this is because, there are so many children out here in the world being forced to play the sports they dont want to play. Meanwhile, we have other teens and young adults playing the sports they want to play. Yes children need to experience creative paly to learn how to be themselves. They need to learn how to become independent responisible thinkers. With all of these things been said this brings me to my next subject. I feel like it is more important that children participate more in on organized activities. I say this because, we have so many teens out here in the world getting killed for no reason. For all living beings, play is an instinctive biological disposition, which helps to facilitate and enrich children’s overall development. In addition to play facilitating and enriching lives, many theorists as well as researchers have shown play to form a fundamental facet of children’s wellbeing, suggesting that providing the opportunity to play enables children with the ability to work out problems through solutions along with enhancing creativeness.
Outdoor play is a very important factor in every child’s development. “Outdoor environments are both comfortable, supportive and encourage skill building” (Sachs 4). (Hillman 67). “Positive outdoor experiences can foster a happier, healthier, smarter and better adjusted children and can create future stewards of the earth” (Hillman 67). Many children with disabilities are mostly structured to indoor environments and outside play can provide them with great benefits (Christensen 1). An example of this is how children with autism benefit greatly from nature. “Play through nature can help develop the five major areas of proper growth; social/emotional, intellectual, perceptual motor, physical development and sensory”, therefore when designing an outdoor play space for children with disabilities it is essential to have a proper, fun and safe design.
Despite of their varying orientations, many famous child development theorists, agree that play benefits children in many different ways and that it occupies a central role in childhood development.
Play is an important part of emotional-social development. Play can act as a way for children to reveal their innermost feelings and express thought. As defined by the text, play is “voluntary activities done for enjoyment or recreation that are not performed for any sake beyond themselves.” Children move through different levels of play as they mature. One form of play which scientists have become increasingly interested in is imaginative play. With imagination children learn how to be creative. Many children between ages 3-5 create imaginary friends for themselves.
It is important for children to have opportunities to play as It helps then to develop and get to understand more about themselves and peers and each other’s likes and dislikes and can communicate with each-other and develop their social skills. Children will also be able to learn how to communicate with their main carers and understand more about the physical world and different textures. It's important to create a space for the child to play as all children feel curiosity and have a need to explore different things.
It is more important to ensure that a child is participating in oraganized activities. A couple reasons why is putting children in those activities gives that child a healthy attitude towards things now and in the future , also these activities give children a chance to meet new people who share the same intrest as them. Another reason why is the activities help children grow into responsible adults .
I believe it is important to be creative in the classroom. I think children should be able to express themselves through activities that lets them be the creative ones. Art can challenge children because they can come up with so many different ideas using different art materials. Both passages have great reasons for both free time to engage in imaginative and creative play, but also how important to ensure that children participate i organized activities. I would say helping children play creatively is important especially in a young age. Creative play teaches them how to express themselves, to think on their own and to open up their minds in their own way.

This decrease is very visible in Irish life today and has been caused by a number of different factors in our modern lifestyle such as, busy work schedules, heavy traffic in streets, fear for children’s safety as well as the use of technology in children’s lives nowadays. Due to this it is even more important that outdoor learning should occur daily in the early years setting. Early years educators should try their hardest to provide outdoor play time every day for young children as they may not get this time when they are at home.
My first reason is that children should choose their own activities. This gives them the freedom to express themselves through their actions. With organized activites, children have to deal with schedules, parental control, and rules. Creative play allows kids to express who they are with the activities they want to choose. As children open up their minds, they are able to learn skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and independence.
The earliest years of life are some of the most important in a person's life. Childhood is a time of physical, mental, emotional, and social development. There are many factors that help contribute to these developments such as a nutritious diet, nurturing, emotional support, and physical activity, especially play. The article discusses research that was conducted to evaluate the impact role play has on the creativity of children. The following describes the purpose of the research, the methods the researchers used, and an interpretation of their findings. I will also discuss how the findings relate to development and will conclude with a reflection on how my experiences relate to this study
Creative Arts in early childhood education refers to children’s participation in a variety of activities that engage their minds, bodies and senses (Sinclair, Jeanneret & O’Toole, 2012; Kearns, 2017); to inspire all children with the opportunity for creative and imaginative expression. Duffy (2006) and Sinclair et al. (2012) state that creativity is the process where children use their imagination to problem solve, develop new ideas, independence and flexibility to accomplish tasks. Furthermore, when educators foster creativity, they are assisting children in making meaning through play and developing their growing capacity to communicate, collaborate and think critically to meet the demands of life in the 21st century (Duffy, 2006; Korn-Bursztyn, 2012; Sinclair et al., 2012).
