Explain Why Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Actions or Words There are certain things that cannot be described with words, and that is why I think actions speak louder. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “actions speak louder than words.” I agree with that statement because when someone says they will do something it doesn’t mean that they actually will. I think that too many people make promises they know they won’t keep. Growing up I would have people I come and tell me they would do something and here 7 or 8 years later it still hasn’t happened. I think that after a while the kid will forget about what they were told but it still doesn’t take away from the disappointment when they realize that it won’t be happening.
I remember one time I was in the Paper Moon card shop with my mom. We were just looking around the shop when a man came around the end of the wall of cards and started talking to me. At the time I honestly had no idea who the man was but it was obvious that he knew me. It was normal for me to be wearing some kind of camouflage, so he started asking me about hunting. By this time my mom had noticed him talking to me and had come to stand next to me and join in the conversation. It is just so clear to me that Emerson was correct in saying what he had to say. I do think that there are things that us as humans cannot do but can describe in detail but I still believe that actions speak louder than words. Words can have a wow factor but the actions you do can leave people speechless. Like surprising a military family with their loved one who has been overseas. They are not told when they will see their family again and that makes it that much more special when they finally do. I believe that actions speak much much louder, than
