Witchcraft can be defined as the use of black (dark) magic such as using charms or spells for the summon of spirits and/or worshipping the devil. Abigail was not only caught dancing in the woods that evening but also consuming blood, a charm, to execute John Proctor’s wife. She used this as a vengeance method to make Proctor feel horrible for what he did in addition to losing his wife.
