Mermaids are extraordinary and beautiful creatures of the sea. Dating back all the way to ancient Rome and Greece, mermaids seem to fascinate people. Both Greek and Roman mythology show this appreciation for humans that live at sea with the roman god, Neptune, and the greek god, Poseidon. Several modern religions, including Hinduism and Candomblé (an Afro-Brazilian belief), worship mermaid goddesses to this day. Mermaids are fascinating creatures of the sea. They stay in the dark depths of the ocean and very rarely come up to the surface making them very hard to see. Due to them living so deep in the waters, their lives remain a total mystery. There are even some people that think they exist. Mermaids aren’t real and there are five reasons to say why they can’t exist.
