It talks about having unethical behavior, and embezzling money as a Girl Scout, and in turn suffering the consequences in the long run. The lesson taught her how to resist the temptation to embezzle money. It also taught her to never set unrealistic goals, and to always take responsibility for your own actions. The company Nike violates every unethical practices of forced labor, unsanitary living conditions, child labor, unethical living wages. These factory workers were treated poorly, and they made them live in a 8x8 shack with multiple families. Their cooking and toilets were located side by side. The smell of sewer would reek throughout their living quarters. These factory workers in Indonesia would only make $1.25 a day, not even enough to survive on. Sometime they would starve themselves just as long as their kids would have a meal to eat every day. Once undercover news stations, and journalists would discover the heart wrenching living conditions, wages these factory workers lived in. They decided to do something about it, they went to Nike head quarters, and let them know about what they had experienced. They had to increase wages. They had to stop child labor and increase work age to sixteen. They also had to create a rubber sole that was non toxic. They had to implement plans and ideas, so that workers could have sick leaves, maturity leave. The Nike corporation wrote up a contract stating that all factory workers would be moved to an apartment for housing in a clean and sanitary environment. They also, stated that all passports would be given back to the factory workers. Nike would fly anyone that wanted to move back home free of charge. Nike also stated that wages Would be increased significantly. Nike corporation also created a Code of Conduct for all factory workers. They would no longer have to suffer the poor conditions and wages they were living. Nike also set limits on how long workers could work, they would offer free physicals to all workers. Since then Nike has really turned things around, there is no longer sweatshops across the globe and workers are being treated ethically, they are finally having a pay they can live
