Imagine waking up in a tent on the side of the road and remembering you do not have a home. That is how refugees feel like.

Refugees flee their homes and end up living in poverty. With this in mind, they need help from many different organizations. Refugees are people who flee their countries because of war, natural disasters, or poverty. Many refugees flee to neighboring countries where they find refuge. They try to stay in places called “refugee camps” for refugees to stay. Currently, over half population from Syria are fleeing because of a serious civil war. For this reason, most refugees from Syria go into Jordan. In Jordan, refugee find many problems. Of course, many refugees face problems while and after they flee. Jobs and education are difficult to find, so refugees often live in poverty and are uneducated. The refugee camps are packed with a ton of people. For this reason, refugees cannot always stay in the camps. When refugees flee their countries, they sometimes travel by boat. One time, 706 refugees drowned while crossing the Aegean sea. A family from Syria tried to leave a camp, but Jordan guards would not let them leave. Some families are enough to make old jail cells their homes.

For example, Save the Children is a non-profit organization that helps out kids who are in need of an education. The organization helped out a girl named Dania go to school. Also, they helped her father find a job. Refugees that are trying to reach Italy are getting help. Italians are giving them living spaces and are giving them jobs. A coffee shop in California are hiring only refugee baristas. Overall, many people are trying to help out refugees. In conclusion, refugees need all the help they can get, since they are homeless.
