Being in a car crash isn’t an experience you want to go through. Accidents often happen, they don’t happen by choice most of the time. Thousands of people die each year due to car crashes. Accidents are caused by multiple reasons most of which drivers are responsible for. From simple distractions like the phone to people driving under the influence accidents occur. Today I will describe events that happened to me that made me feel thankful for being alive. The one car crash that I was a part of that changed my life. This accident happened back in 2014. It was a sunny Sunday; I remember feeling an intense heat in the atmosphere. I was hanging out with two friends while driving through the city, sitting at the passenger seat. Literally a second before the car impacted us I heard my friend who was sitting in the back screaming ‘watch out’. Instantly my whole vision starts spinning while my mind is blank. A strong noise is heard at the exact moment of the impact. We end up at the opposite side of the avenue, crashing to a house driveway park. I was the first one to be conscious again. As soon as the car stops spinning try to wake up my driver friend by shaking his head. There’s blood coming out of his nose and he doesn’t wake up. I stormed out of the car and tried to open the car’s back door to see my other friend who was at the back. He is conscious but confused. I felt a metallic taste in my mouth. I then touched my mouth to check and it was blood, looks like I might have bitten my tongue when the impact took place.
We could smell the smoke coming out of the car motor. Then G and I proceeded to get out our other friend who was driving. He is not conscious yet and has his mouth covered in blood. Between us two we get him out and starting walking opposite the car direction in case it explodes. Black and grey smoke in the air as blood covered our clothes. The person from the other car made it out okay and went to help us while calling 911. I could feel my neck sore and pain all over my back. Paramedics came and got my friend to the hospital, he survived in one piece like the rest of us, he just had a minor
