Identity; noun: the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. The definition of the word is much less complex than what identity truly means. Identity, for me, means several things, how someone defines themselves, and how others define groups of people however a definition is too fixed . As humans, we are always changing, and growing. We think and learn different things, and are never the same person at the end of the day. This is my case, a definition is too simple to describe myself. I like to think that I know who I am, but I can’t. These parts of me tend to push people away, but somehow my friends have stayed by my side. For me, my friends are are my tools for getting out of sticky situations.My friends are brave and kind, as well as seemingly knowing how to help with the problems that I face. My family, although love them a lot, doesn't really understand what I'm going through. When I am with my friends, I know I can be who I want to and they'll like me anyway. This is proven by the fact that they haven't run away from me yet, and that they listen to all my reasonings when I mess up. Not a single person fits into a category like jock, nerd, cheerleader, ect. We all have different interests, family lives, and different friends. People might suffer from mental illness and some might not. So to say someone might have a similar experience as you, but the only person who can dictate what you feel, is you. You might not fit in, but there will always be people to help you in your most dire, or mundane situations. Your Identity isn’t fixed, it changes naturally over time; so in turn, there is no set definition for you, or the people around
