“Erin Brockovich” is a film that was based on a true story. The movie is based on Erin Brockovich, who is a struggling single mom, with two young kids and an infant; and who is in a desperate need of a job and trying to make ends meet. During the movie, Erin lands a job at the Ed Masry’s Law Firm, the same law firm in which her attorney works at. While working at the Ed Masry’s Law Firm, she becomes interested in investigating further on a real estate case about Donna and Peter Jensen and their involvement with the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. While doing her research, she asks if her boss, Ed Masry, can help her throughout the proceedings of her research. While taking further action on her research, she starts to become more passionate about the case and wants justice to be served so that the residents do not have to go through this alone. Throughout the continuation of her research, she starts to interview and persuade the people who live near Donna Jensen and in Hinkley, California about the issue that is going on in the area. She also found a way to get a hold of some incriminating records as evidence and discussed this information with her boss, Ed Masry. While in court, the case was filed as a class-action lawsuit. Afterward, Ed Masry met with the people of Hinkley and told them how the case was going to go and told them that it was leaning more towards a binding arbitration. In the end, it was up to the judge to make the decision of the case. The verdict of this case went to the residents of Hinkley, who was awarded more than a million dollars with the Pacific Gas and Electric
