The novel Things fall apart takes place in the tribes of deep Africa where Okonkwo has three wife's who is different and unique in many ways. Now in this book the presence of equality lacks majorly in the novel. Woman in this book are not treated equally compared to the men in this book. Men and woman should share an equal trait in which everyone should see them both as the same type of person. The author focuses more on how masculine, brave, and powerful the men are in the book, while compared to the woman there are treated like animals and such lower class. The funny part about this is how today there are still places and conflicts on how woman are not treated equally as how the men are treated. Real life situations today and still people will always downgrade woman just because of their sex. The world we live in today should accept the fact that woman will need to be as equal as the men are because woman have so much impact on society, daily events, and the state of living.

They're are even stories of people killing little girls just because of their sex and how we don't need any more girls. China today has a rule of you can only have one to two guys or just one guy and one girl, but if there is only one girl or more then one they would simply kill the baby in many disturbing ways possible. Major terrorist groups today kill a bunch of people based off of sex gender and even religion such as the group “Isis”. The killing and harming of woman because of their sex is wrong because everyone should be treated equally without having the separation of one another.
