Generally social environment of the school includes good relationship between the peers, between teacher and students and with principal and staff members, relationship between teacher and parents and other community members etc. It implies a measure of the quality and quantity of the cognitive, creative and social support that has been available to the subjects during the school life in terms of teacher-pupils interaction. The social environment is the products of the interactions between the teachers and the pupils in school situations. Perkin (1951) concludes that the major aspect of the classroom climate is the quality interaction between teacher and pupils. Teacher and administrators plays a crucial role in developing a positive social climate in every corner of the school. A good social environment helps in inculcating various social values, democratic ideas and feelings. It helps in bridging the gap between school and society by bringing schools near to society and vice versa. The National Education Commission (1964-66) observed that “the destiny of India is now being shaped in her classrooms”. The success in the great adventure of national reconstruction is based on the number of students coming out of the school and colleges.
