Successful female performers can have a lot of similarities and a lot of differences. For instance, Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey have a lot of differences. Both women live in the United States; however, Ellen resides on the west coast, while Oprah is established in the northeast. Ellen enjoys exercising and art. Meanwhile, Oprah enjoys fine furs and designer clothing. Ellen is lean; Oprah is plump. Despite their differences, these two women have similarities in family circumstances, minority challenges, and career paths. To begin, Ellen and Oprah had similar childhoods. They are both women who were born in the southern United States in the 1950's, came from single parent homes, and attended college.
