Drunk Driving Conflict

When a police officer pulls over someone for possibly driving under the influence (DUI), they have several tests they can perform to tell the level of impairment. Some tests that they would perform on the field include a sobriety test, finger to finger, breathalyzer tests, and pronouncing “Methodist Episcopal” with no lisp. If someone is driving when using marijuana, they still show signs that are similar to drunk driving. For example, the driver might have issues remembering the time it takes to stop at a stop sign or when to pass somebody safely. For example, some people want marijuana to stay illegal. They feel it is bad for society, and they believe that marijuana is a gateway drug that will lead people to do harder drugs. Some people want marijuana legalized because they feel that it is not dangerous and that it has the same effect on people who drink alcohol. Some Americans feel that if the government legalizes it, then they can worry more about all the other drugs. Medical marijuana is legal in twenty-eight states and the District of Columbia (ProCon.org, 1). This is an example of conflict perspective when almost half the states have legalized medical marijuana and the others have not. Medical marijuana is not approved nationally, so it causes conflict between the state and national governments. Most people want it legalized for health benefits while others may abuse the power of medical marijuana by a fake aliment to receive it so the risk of getting in trouble is less. The ones who are prescribed medical marijuana should try all the different options of medical marijuana. People need to realize it to help people who are in too much pain for regular medicine and they turn to this to help, not for fun personal
