Donald Trump has been saying misogynistic and sexist remarks for a very long time. Mr. Trump disagrees with the media and the people that are accusing him of being sexist. However, once it has been said the world cannot forget about these claims since it is such a controversial issue. It is not false because reporters and news anchors have physical evidence of his remarks. This raises the question of whether Trump is a true sexist or just doing so to keep up the show. Phrases and terms that will be mentioned are misogyny, sexism and criticizing womanhood. Misogyny means hatred of women. Sexism means the prejudice and discrimination of a sex, usually women. The phrase criticizing womanhood means that President Trump has a negative opinion towards normal aspects of womanhood. According to “Sexual abuse is not a perk of Trump’s power.” by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, have stated that Trump, throughout the years, has diminished sexual abuse as “locker room” talk. Trump is belittling the importance of sexual abuse and minimizes what it is. He makes it look like it is not a big when it is one of the leading problems in the country. This occurred again during a radio show hosted by Howard Stern. According to an article by Guardian, stated that “In 2006, when Howard Stern told Trump he was ‘a sexual predator’, he nodded with a laugh while his daughter Ivanka--a self-described supporter of women -- giggled and patted her father’s shoulder.” Trump, himself, admitted being a sexual predator. Granted, in a joking manner but it still shows some truth into that statement but because he laughed it off, many are stating that he has diminished the issue.
