We stood by him when things got rough and never gave up on him. The little dog started having seizures, and not to long after that we found out that he had a brain bleed and a brain tumor. We all didn’t see any of this coming, so at first we didn’t know what to think. All we knew was that we had to try as much as we could to save his life, and if not that make him as comfortable as we possibly could. So, for weeks we tried so many different medicines, but Skipper wasn’t responding to some that he needed to. Later on we were told that his liver levels were dangerously high, we had to put him on even more medicine because of that. Although we tried all of this, he didn’t get much better. It would seem like he would for a day or two, but in time he would be just as sick as he was before or even worse. We all knew that we would have to say our finally farewell to our little friend. We all tried to prepare for it, but something like losing someone that you love you can never be ready for. One night he had at least 12 seizures and we knew that goodbye be sooner than we expected it to. Soon after that we did have to put him down. Although we didn’t want to, we knew that it was the best thing for him, we couldn’t do anymore for him and he was in so much pain. His eyes showed you that he was ready to go. We tried to be strong for him but when we got to the vet it was all too much.
