I love dogs but they do not belong in the workplace. Some people are scared of dogs no matter how big or small they are. There in no guarantee that all dogs will be trainied and well behaved. Dogs need extra attention, and the workers that bring their dogs will need extra breaks to care for them. Having dogs in the workplace would be bad for the company because there are to many unknown problems that could occur.
Some people are scared of dogs, Having them in the workplace could cause distress to coworkers. i know people that have had a bad experience with dogs in their past like being bit or jumped on making them anxious around dogs now. Companies are legally required to provide a safe and healthy work place and having a dog there could possibly create some physical or psychological distress or some employees, creating an unhealthy workplace. …show more content…

Some dogs are not potty trained creating mess and odor in the workplace. Some dogs even nip or bite creating it unsafe for other workers or even other dogs brought by coworkers. Not all dogs are well behaved some will chew, that would be bad for office property, the company would have to replace or repair the items. JUst because a dog is well behaved at home switching them to a new environment around unfamiliar people is unpredictable. They may nip, whine, or even jump on a coworker.
Dogs need extra attention. If you bring your dog and he has to go outside that is an extra break that a coworker has to take. They also need to be watered and fed which could also take away more of the companies time, especially if they do not have them on a schedule. Dogs have to have alot of attention they like to play and run around, this would be a distraction not only to the employees that bring in their dogs but the people working around them.
