They arrive in their new country august 7th. super man was living his life and was shipped down to earth , he started to rescue people. Firstly, A personal journey is when someone or something goes on a journey and on their journey they go along and meet allies and friends,they have struggles or obstacles,and they change (mostly in a good way) throughout the story. An example of a personal journey is in Unbroken. The main character, Louie Zamperini goes on a personal journey and his life changes dreadfully. When he had to go on a plane to Japan for a war, he met allies and friends, but soon it would go all wrong. His pilot crashed the plane. Only three people survived including himself. In Shakespeare’s King Lear, Kent and Edgar embark on altruistic journeys that lend purpose to their life. Similarly, In McCarthy’s The Road, The man and the son’s journey is to care for each other which provides them a meaningful life in an apocalyptic world. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, purpose is defined as “That which a person sets out to do or attain” and journey is defined as “ the ‘pilgrimage’ or passage through life.” In King Lear, Kent’s last line is “I have a journey, sir, shortly to go;/My master calls me. I must not say no.” Kent’s “journey” is to serve Lear through life and death. Edgar’s journey is to remain loyal to and avenge his father. Some event and or character flaw necessitates a journey of some kind, whether it is an actual physical journey or a metaphorical one. You could volunteer at the hospital, take care of the elderly, or even help them carry their bags inside! The quote “Just because my path is different doesn’t mean I’m lost” by Unknown is meant for people with disabilities/ illnesses, in my opinion, I think so because it means that just because they can’t do things that other people can, doesn’t mean they can’t do anything.
