Nowadays, as the development of society in 21st century, lots of concept changes such as gender inequality, poverty that everyone is going to accept equality between women and men, and will not discriminate poor people. On the contrary, until now, for black people, racism is not stranger to them because everyone is a racist and still discriminate them. Racism defines as “the belief that characteristics and abilities can be attributed to people simply on the basis of their race and that some racial groups are superior to others” (Shah 2010). Black people are facing the important problem-racism. In addition, does racism require power to discriminate black people? From Medium.com, Alexander Zubatov writes an article about racism and he first states that “black people can't be racist because racism = prejudice + power, and black people have no power” (Zubatov 2016). According to the meaning of racism, racism requires power to discrimination black people; however, what kind of people have power? If we assume that only white people have power; on the contrary, it implies that black people do not have any power. In order to argue this statement, should think about a person- the former United States president. Barack Obama was the first black president in the United States, and he used to have power to control the country. Even though Barack Obama is a black person but he has power as a president, therefore we can not conclude that black people do not have power. Furthermore, many black people are working in Congress/government and they also have power. Racism is that does not require to have power to discriminate black people so there is no limitation between white people or other skin type people to discriminate blacks. We can conclude that black people are not only discriminate by white people but also everyone. The anti-racism law should write more specific to clarify that it is focus on black people. From the speech of the president of South Africa Jacob Zuma, he elaborates his wish of freedom and equality due to all the black people are suffering form the human rights violation so that he yearns for “we says no to racism and racial discrimination” (Zuma 2016 132). This is their hope in Africa; Zuma, as a president in Africa, he can not help his people get rid of racism because all the people in his country are all blacks. Everyone in different country has different skin type will discriminate them. If we use the statement from the Human Right, it states that “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights” (Article 1); even though it point out all human beings, everyone still discriminate black people because every person from all around the world declares this statement does not apply to black people. The anti racism law should indicate that it benefit black people, however this anti racism law is a rule that everyone must obey this particular rule and they also need to respect black people.
