Growing up in Vacaville, nestled between the cities of San Francisco and Sacramento in Northern California you got to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and the creatures that live within it. That mixed with a growing city, new stores and homes being built every year you got a bit of both country living and city life. From cows, and turkeys to deer and geese if you grew up in Vacaville seeing these were a regular occurence. I never did cow tip but I did get the pleasure of seeing a herd of cows break through a fence and block a main road setting traffic back for hours.

The persistence of the television commercials, internet advertisement, posters and even the social media can persuade or even convince an individual that their current item is out of date and in need of the “new and improved” version. I wonder do we really need to replace our items or is it just conspicuous consumption.
The Big game! As we arrived at the softball field I could already smell the runny nacho cheese and buttered popcorn coming from the concession stand, but I also smelled victory coming. As we neared gametime my nerves kicked in and my adrenaline began pumping, my heart raced faster and faster as time closed in. As I started to get nervous I started to drop balls, make bad throws, and it was just what seemed like error, after error, after error.

People who visit see this place as an oasis, but knowing the real hustle and bustle of this city life, I had a gnawing sensation with every fiber of my being.
It's my average summer night in Vegas; I wasted a disturbingly large amount of time playing frustrating video games, followed by some self-hatred and nihilism which leads to me finding myself lying down, staring up above at the boring, ebony void known as the Vegas night sky. You see, the night sky of Vegas is quite different from every other night sky in the world. Where others may see a beautiful dark canvas filled with beaming specs of light, and marvelous colors - we here in Vegas have a much more obstructed, unique view. Our stars are the airplanes dancing gracefully across the blackened heavens above. The light we see is a projection from the Luxor, a casino that fires a beam of white into the night sky.
I think we all have a beautiful place in our mind. I have a wonderful place that made me happy a lot of times, years ago. But sometimes I think that I am the only person who likes this place and I'm asking myself if this place will be as beautiful as I thought when I will go back to visit it again. Perhaps I made it beautiful in my mind.
