It all started when I moved to my new home in River Grove. The process of cleaning and restoring our new home was so satisfying for me. I helped out with the yard work, organizing, and cleaning the entire property inside and outside. Instead of this being a chore, that most people would complain about, it was very pleasing and satisfying to me as if it was almost a hobby. My perfectionist personality made me strive to always have a neat room. I always keep my paperwork, closet, and drawers clean and organized. Over the summer, I helped my mom with her night job. The job consists of cleaning an office building vacuuming, mopping, washing tables and changing garbage. To this day I don’t mind helping my mom clean it has become enjoyable. ("Dental Hygienist") When it comes to working on the job, the hours of work depend on you, the more you want to work you are happy to do what you like. Most dental hygienists work in multiple dentist offices and come in on the days that they want to work on. Also as a dental hygienist you’re not suck working in a dentist office for the rest of your life you may be employed to provide dental hygiene services for patients in hospitals, nursing homes and public health clinics. ("Dental Hygienist") Which gives variety on the people you work on and places you work at something new every day, that’s something I like I dislike sticking to the same today every day I enjoy something new each day. As stated by Geshelin “Not all dentists work at a dental office some do things such as teaching, selling dental products, or working in product research and testing”. (“Geshelin, Hanna”) Having this option in my life would be a great advantage because the point of life is to enjoy it not just going to work to pay bills until you die. Having the option of creating your own schedule is a huge plus for this job because you can work whenever you like. You set up the appointments and take control of your work life. Having the extra time to spend with your family in the future and go on vacations would be ideal for anyone's lifestyle. You can live your life and pick your own schedule and make yourself be in control. It is nice to have great flexibility in determining the number of hours per week you choose to work in your life, so why live through it working hard and not having vacations or days off when you want unlike you would be able to if you were a dental hygienist.
