“Work hard in silence, let success be your noise”(Frank Ocean). Success is something all people strive for but no one truly knows how to achieve it. Some people stumble upon it, others work hard for it, and some people never feel they achieve success. So the question becomes, what really is success? John Wooden once said “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming”(Wooden). Success and happiness are tied together. Success does not mean someone wealthy. Whatever makes a person happy is what they need to be successful. The definition of wealthy is “Someone with many riches, especially material riches. A person with a million dollars is an example of someone who might be described as wealthy”(Webster). Having money is something that a lot people automatically link to success. Although, money does not make people happy. In order to truly be successful someone needs to be happy with where they are and what they do. A person could be wealthy but not be happy at all, so how can they call themselves successful? Someone could make the argument that with money someone could just buy things that would make them happy. Yet, this is unimportant in view of the fact that if people have to go and buy things to be happy then are they really happy with their lives? All that they are doing is buying things to distract themselves from their everyday lives. Someone who is successful will be truly happy in all parts of their life. Having a happy home life is a key factor of success. As long as someone is content and are happy with what they have then they are successful.
