Praiseworthiness has many different attributes that makes someone praiseworthy. When someone shows their peers they are brave they will try and accomplish what many may consider impossible. Being praiseworthy has many advantages: one being earning respect from others, but it also has disadvantages, such as when people make a mistake, it will come with much more criticism. How can the term “praiseworthy” be defined? According to Merriam-Webster.com praiseworthiness means someone that is deserving of approval or admiration. Three distinctive attributes of being praiseworthy are honor, bravery, credibility. One example of an attribute that can make someone praiseworthy is being honorable. This is important because bravery can show leadership which is a trait that all historically praiseworthy people share. In the story “The Foolish Lion and the Clever Rabbit”, the rabbit shows a perfect example of both bravery and leadership. The lion was very ruthless and killed all the animals that came near him. The animals decided to choose someone each day to offer to the lion. When it came time for the rabbit he was very wise and took his time nibbling on bushes and didn't show up. Making the lion very angry, he said, “who does this rabbit think he is” then he said tomorrow “I will kill every animal here to teach him a lesson” By the next morning the rabbit arrived and the lion pounced on him very angrily. The rabbit begged for him to have pity and told the lion there was another lion out there that slowed him down; the lion got even more angry and demanded to be taken to the other lion. The rabbit took him well and told him he down there cooling off in the well. The lion roared at his own reflection until he jumped to his own death. The rabbit freed all of the animals in the jungle by using his head to come up with a plane and having the bravery to see it through and he is praiseworthy for doing
