Love, in the dictionary, is described as “an intense feeling of deep affection” or “to have deep romantic or sexual feelings or attachments to someone.” But can this definition go further? Are there different levels of love, and if so, how do we describe those levels? How does love impact our lives, and most of all, does it really exist? Or is it just a figment of each of our imaginations? In this essay, I will explain my personal definition of love, scientific standpoints, religious standpoints, and historical and cultural viewpoints on love and what it means to the human race. There is a lot of physical and not so physical evidence on the existence of love, and a lot of arguments against its existence, but hear me out as I take you on a journey of this fascinating and intriguing thing called love. Unconditional love is naïve and unaware that strong relationships result when two strong individuals combine”. What does this mean? She's saying unconditional love is just a figment of each of our imaginations and is not really present in human minds. This poses an interesting argument because we like to think that we love our spouses and our children and our friends unconditionally, despite their downfalls. But many say this cannot be true! People change, therefore, our feelings for them change. And therefore love is not unconditional and it's not forever. And, to that point, true love is also just a figment of each of our imaginations! This a quite revolutionary theory, especially in a society who loves to love, and finds unconditional love
