Terrorist! Labels such as that, are what define us and how we define each other in today’s society. Sadly labels can take on physical forms such as clothing, accessories, and even toys. When we hear the word Muslim, we think terrorist. When most people see a hijab, they automatically believe the person underneath it is a Muslim. Although past terror attacks trace back to Muslims, that does not mean that Muslim men and Muslim women who wear hijabs are involved in those activities. We do not even know what a hijab is, why they are not just in the Middle East, and that there is a choice to wear the hijab.
First of all, what is a hijab? A hijab is a veil. It is worn on the head, it also covers the neck and chest.
