It was a quiet night, 9 PM, and no sounds were heard. Detective Josh Bush was just getting ready to leave. His assistant; Carl Lobson, hadn’t showed up all day because he was home sick. He felt uneasy the way Carl’s desk was empty with shadows over it. Josh heard a creak at the door and saw Carl.
“Sorry, I felt better so I decided to come,” said Lobson
“It’s alright Lobson,” Bush replied. “I was just about to leave anyw-“
He was cut off by the ring of the phone. They both looked at each other as Bush ran to grab the phone.
“Hello, this is the detective office.”
“Please, help!” the woman on the phone said frightened. “I see a dead girl on the road! I live on 6 Hollyroad Boulevard.”

He wondered how he’d find the killer and decided to finally look for clues. He went to the girl and immediately noticed some line pattern marks on her neck and knew that only leather gloves with patterns could leave a mark like that. The murderer was smart for wearing gloves but made a mistake by wearing that type. From there Bush searched for more clues and eventually stumbled upon a fairly sized diamond about the size that fits into the palm of you hand. The moonlight reflected off of it, he was able to determine that it was expensive. Bush opened up the photos of the dead girl and looked closely on the marks on her neck. He enhanced the picture and got a shock of reality. All of a sudden it all pieced together. The criminal stole the diamond from Dave and saw that the girl witnessed him with it in his possession. He had no choice but to kill her and drop the diamond to go once he saw Anne calling the police. This case probably wouldn’t have been solved if the murderer remembered one thing. His initials were on a metal engraving on his glove, tiny but noticeable. The initials were C.L. and Bush couldn’t think of a stranger with the initials
