Vampires are my Religion
Intro: Whether its Buffy or Twilight, everyone knows about vampires. Scary, pale creatures who suck blood and burn in the sunlight. The vampires that we know today all originated from the original vampire, the vampire king: Dracula. Through Bram Stoker’s literary genius, one of the most spine-chilling and classic novels of all time was written, not only creating an entire culture, but changing the literary world forever. Some argue that it is because it is a religious novel disguised as a horror novel. Some say it’s the opposite. Dracula is definitely a religious novel and focuses heavily on the use of religion and religious objects in the fight against evil, something Stoker does not satirize, instead, honoring.
