Kevin Hart had once said, “People may hate you for being different and not living by society’s standards, but deep down they wish they had the courage to.” Hart confers the issues among people unwilling to accept the different people within society. One type of these divergent individuals among society are comedians. These people choose to discuss diverse topics in a comical way but people get offended by it. Even though comedy can create controversy, the topics comedians discuss shouldn’t be limited; like people, comedians should have the right to speak as they please, because it can have a positive effect on society if they let it.

People of society, for years now, have used comedy as a way to mock people. Avner Ziv wrote, “Less serious and self-involved people have held that things might be changed by less tedious approach, that is, by the means of humor. Humor exposes ugly human phenomena (those that render the world almost unbearable) to mockery, in the hopes of there by eliminating them. Comedians ridicule people and topics the majority of his/her career. The public laughs because they believe it, they’re incapable of voicing their viewpoint on a person/subject.¨ Ziv writes about how “less serious” people inform people using comedy. That makes complete sense because most comedians are found amusing to a majority of the public. A lot of comedians today contribute to a majority to today’s controversy; but, the comic view doesn’t cause a negative effect on society today. Take Donald Trump for example, people criticize him all of the time in a very humaric manor. This action takes away the stupidness of his actions, creating a comical response.
