Since as long as I could remember, I always wanted to substantiate that I was different. I have never really been exceptionally fond of standards, and I always wanted to follow what I believed was right. When I was around 13 years old, my uncle showed me his camera for the first time. He let me hold it, and told me to take care of it as if it was my baby. Astonished, and at a loss for words, I picked up the camera, and started taking pictures. I instantly fell in love, and have never looked back. Around three years later, with determination, perseverance, and integrity I started my own photography business, even though everyone around me told me that a teenager starting his own business is just not practical in this world. Everyone, including my parents, grandparents, uncle and aunt told me to drop the idea because it would not work out the way that I would want. I did not listen to anyone, and followed my heart for the passion of photography. I never stopped taking pictures and eventually bought my own professional camera. I wanted to show everyone what I was capable of achieving, and that no one could stop me from reaching and even surpassing my goals. I would definitely make the same decision again because I have learned so much from this experience. I learned skills in and about business, design, how to build a website, how to make business cards, and so much more. This experience has not only been a great way to make money on the side, but also a great example of what the real world is like for an adult since no one knew that they were hiring a teenager when they hired me to photograph their events. Overall, I am very happy about the decisions that I have made, and this determination shows that I am always willing to learn and push my limits in the pursuit of achieving happiness in life.
