Classroom Management Plan My classroom management plan will be based off of UDL classroom principles and rules. In the beginning of class, each student will have the chance to introduce themselves. I would instruct every student to make a mini-presentation about themselves in order to visually help the students garner a better perspective about each other. The presentation is the student’s introduction to the classroom. The presentation should list a student’s interests, dislikes, likes, goals, and anything else they feel pertinent to sharing with the class. The class will be organized in a clusters of desks, paired desks, long tables, and personal spaces that caters to the needs of every student. Clustered student desks will provide extensive opportunities for students to work together and can be extremely helpful for social students who learn best by talking and listening. Meanwhile, paired desks promote close collaboration between students and empower teachers to create pairings that will complement each student while in a learning environment. At long tables, small group instruction allows teachers the opportunity to provide help with certain content and focus on skills that students need help with in targeted areas. Also, this setting can reduce distractions and amplify background knowledge. A calendar will be implemented that is sent home everyday with either a smiley face, normal face, or frowny face to indicate how their child’s day progressed. Parents are welcome to ask about any facet of my classroom management plan in order to ensure a collaborative partnership that benefits the student/child. To build a classroom community where everyone feels like they are in a safe environment to take intellectual risks the animal crackers program will be implemented. Every time a student raises their hand to ask a question, answer a question, or voice their opinions or thoughts, they will be awarded an animal cracker for their desire to be a participant. Any student that ridicules another student for their answer if it is wrong or chides the other student’s opinion will be asked to apologize and if it persists, they will be sent to detention. As a teacher, if a student answers a question wrongly, they thank the student for the attempt and build off their answer and rear it towards the correct
