Many people consider Citizen Kane to be an absolute milestone in cinema history.
For its time, a fantastic breath of fresh air, with innovative shots, camera angles, and storytelling, with wonderful and truly complex characters. It is loved so much that it is even considered to be a must watch of today. The film, budgeted at $800,000, received unanimous critical praise even at the time of its release.

In addition, another technique that was used was the positioning of people, many actors had to be placed in a certain place and told not to make any movements. Equally, there as many other elements that were used in the making of this film, like the wipe transition or the makeup or the snowing to show the long passage of time. The only way to get a full appreciation of the film is to analyze each shot as an individual piece, there is so much effort placed instead each shot. There is a huge amount of subtle symbolism in the film, portraying visually the emotions and conflicts of the characters that cannot always be read on their faces, while not detracting from the basic necessities of the story. For example, a scene depicting Kane, campaigning for an election. In this scene, Kane is seen alone at a podium, a small figure against a gigantic backdrop of another depiction of Kane, a larger than life, intense being version of him. It is easy to ignore this scene without watching it critically. At first, the backdrop is thought of as a campaign marketing tool. But, if we were to analyze it this scene, the backdrop actually contrasts Kane the man with Kane the world famous tycoon. Personally, I would say that this film is so amazing that it is the birthplace of a famous saying, which is “money cannot buy happiness”

Citizen Kane is among the most critically acclaimed films of all time, and it has been given this place for a good reason. The film tells a complex tale that does not cheat the audience through cheap characters or stale
