There are many problems in the world. Sometimes society will forget about some things or become immune to hearing about a situation and it won't bother them as long as it doesn't directly affect them. Children and teenagers being sexually abused has unfortunately become something that occurs often, and making people immune to this situation. Sexual abuse happens to one in five girls and one in twenty boys. Some people tend not to worry about sexual abuse and think that it isn't that bad, thus making the laws and punishments on child sex offenders not enforced as severe as they should be. Laws and punishments for child sex offenders are taken too lightly and should be enforced more.

The only problem is they do not weigh in the child's mental health but only the type of sexual abuse and any harm that has been done to them physically, not mentally. Some of the general cases of child sexual abuse include, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation, incest and sexual assault. Sexual interference is to directly or indirectly touch any body part for sexual purposes of a child less than sixteen years of age. Invitation for sexual touching is to invite a child less than sixteen years of age to directly or indirectly touch another person for a sexual purpose and includes touching anything with either a body part or object. Sexual exploitation is an offense for anyone who is in a position of trust or in charge or in a relationship of dependency with a young person to sexually touch them in anyway or incite them to touch another person. Incest is to have sexual intercourse with someone who is related by blood and is known that they are a blood relative. Sexual assault, also known as rape has three degrees of sexual assault, sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, threats to a third party or causing bodily harm and aggravated sexual assault. Sexual assault is the intentional application of force, directly or indirectly, to another without their consent for sexual purposes.
