n 1919 the Chicago Black Sox Scandal was a result of the owner Charles Comiskey not paying the baseball players what they were actually worth. The Black Sox felt under appreciated due to how conniving the owner was. He included a baseball reserve clause which stated that any player who refused to accept a contract “from the Black Sox” was prohibited from playing on any other professional baseball team. This involuntarily secured a signature from the baseball players if not they would have to deal with the repercussions that follow, meaning no other baseball career. The Scandal first started before the end of the 1919 season when First baseman Gandil meet up with Sullivan aka sport “a gambler” to discuss a possible option of the Black Sox
