The Boy who Cried Wolf Growing up my parent read to me every night, with stories ranging from Dr. Seuss to the biblical tales of Jesus feeding an entire village with just a few loafs of bread and a few fish. The story that sticks out most to me is the boy who cried wolf. There are many variations of this story, but the one that I remember goes something like this.

He was an ordinary boy who lived in big house with his mom, dad, and big sister Susie. One Friday night Larry’s parent went out to dinner and then the movies, leaving Susie in charge. “Don’t get into any trouble, I have to go do my homework and don’t have time to watch you all night” she said authoritatively. “I won’t I promise” he replied in his sweetest voice. Larry loved cat videos, for he himself had a cat named Theodore whom he was always tormenting. Larry sat down at the family computer, a MacBook they just purchased brand new. Larry plugged in his headphones and began the binge watching, with his can of pop and bag of chips this night couldn’t get any better. After 20 ounces of Mt. Suds he soon had to use the bathroom, so he hopped out of the chair. What Larry hadn’t done was unplug his headphones, which in turn knocked over the pop which spilt all over the new computer. Larry desperately tried to clean up the soda to no avail and soon he was faced with a dilemma. He decided his best course of action was to blame it on Theodore, “he’s a dumb cat, they’ll buy it” Larry thought to himself. When Larry’s parents came home be broke the news to them and his sister, “I’m really sorry, I wouldn’t have let him in the room if I had known he was going to” he pleaded. “It’s ok sweetie, we have insurance on it, don’t worry” his mother
