Characterization The characterization that Ray Bradbury gave Margot was shy. She was shy because she never talked in school. For example, in the story it said ‘’well don’t wait around here.’cried the boy savagely “you won’t see nothing” her lips moved. “nothing” he cried. When the boy talked to her she didn’t say anything because she was too shy. The only thing she was confident about, is talking about the sun. She knows for sure that it is going to come, even when everyone else doesn’t think so. Margot is also very unlucky. She has been waiting a long time to be able to see the sun again, but unfortunately she was stuck in a closet and didn’t get to see the sun.
In the story it says, “About how it was like a lemon, it was, and how hot . . . I think the sun is a flower, That blooms for just one hour.” This connects back to my idea that outcasts are sometimes the solution to society’s problems. Due to this quote, Margot’s statement about the sun is what makes her an outsider in the eyes of society. Later in the passage, it is revealed that Margot’s statement about the sun was correct and solved the problem of what the children think the sun resembles.
The Power of an Author Authors have the ability justify the worst actions. Authors have a way of romanticizing certain situations in order to convey a specific message. A good author has power to influence the reader into believing whatever it is the author wants. When it comes to the story of Hannah Dustan, authors such as John Greenleaf Whittier have romanticized her captivity story along with the actions she took throughout her journey. Introducing a character that will be seen in the story is one of the most vital parts when creating a piece of literature.
The sentiment from Laila’s childhood, that people should not have more children if they have already given all of their love to their other children, informs her reaction to becoming pregnant with Rasheed’s child because she was worried that she would repeat history by not loving Rasheed’s child as much as she loved Tariq’s. Laila did not feel that her mother loved her as much as she loved her brothers. She felt as if her mother had no love to give her because she had already given it all away to her two sons. When Laila became aware that she was pregnant with Rasheed’s child, she contemplated killing it inside the womb because she did not believe that she could love
Analysis of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Imagine living in a world where you are not in control of your own thoughts. Imagine living in a world in which all the great thinkers of the past have been blurred from existence. Imagine living in a world where life no longer involves beauty, but instead a controlled system that the government is capable of manipulating.
One possible main idea is that this short story is about how actions lead to regret. Support for this theme comes at the end of the story, where the children are described as stakes driven into the ground. This regret came after the children denied Margot the ability to be out in the sun after it had finally come out. Another theme is that the allure of rare things or events can induce powerful emotions. Support for this is present during the end of the story, where the kids run around in the sun and experience joy like never before. A final argument for the theme can be made of the idea that people never realize how much things are worth until they are gone. Evidence for this theme takes form in the shape of a depressed Margot, who is always sad and moping in the story, something that the author says is because she misses the sun on Earth. All around the world, books have been hated, attacked, and boycotted by groups, schools and individuals because of the messages it suggests. This poses the question, why do people feel threatened by certain books? Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury intimidates various readers due to the mirror effect on our world today in terms of the issues it’s filled with. Novels being banned eliminates the chance of people learning from the messages within them. Bradbury connects the book to readers by using minor characters and specific language to suggest solutions to present day issues, such as false happiness due to technology and therefore should be defended.

In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, happiness is a virtual family, watching endless amounts of TV on a huge plasma display and working out. Ray Bradbury depicts a dystopian future America, where the government is corrupt, socializing is strange and reading books is against the law.
As members of a first-world nation, we are disrespectfully quick to point out the flaws and downfalls of impecunious societies and use the societies like mere scenery, even though we walk together on this earth. In “Sun and Shadow," Ray Bradbury manipulates Ricardo to convey to the reader the impertinence from outsiders and the responses from Ricardo and his fellow townspeople. A photographer is encountered doing a photo shoot on Ricardo’s property, and Ricardo becomes unhappy with his presence and angrily tells him to leave. After Ricardo’s increasingly sharp comments and attitudes augment, the photographer becomes satirical and facetious, poking fun at the lifestyle in which Ricardo lives. The short-tempered townsman reveals his defiance through actions projected towards the photographer. Through the use of characterization, Bradbury defines the fine societal line between Ricardo, the penurious dweller of the village, the inconsiderate photographer, and the sympathetic townspeople.

Margot goes to school with classmates that resent her. They hate her for having seen the sun, something they wanted so badly. This jealousy led to an overwhelming hatred that they were reminded of any time they saw her. Her classmates let their hatred take over and they locked her in a closet as revenge for the pain she had caused them all. But unlike Wendy and Peter from The Veldt, Margot was affected negatively from her classmateś actions.

When Guy Montag begins to notice miniscule details about life that he had previously overseen, he unravels the truth behind the corrupt society that imprisons innovative minds. Both Beatty and Faber reveal the importance of knowledge to operate independently whereas Clarisse accentuates the significance of knowledge in order to challenge ideas. An educated society will have the capability to develop. Without knowledge society becomes ignorant thereby devoid of creativity.
It’s always cold and raining, and the sun only comes out for two hours on one day every seven years. Margot is a schoolgirl who moved from planet Earth. She’s depressed because she misses the sun and the other children don’t seem to like her. On the day the sun comes out, the other children lock Margot in a closet so that she can’t see the sun.
Albert Einstein once said “…Imagination is more important than knowledge…” but what if people lived in a world that restrained them from obtaining both knowledge and imagination. In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, the main character, Montag, expresses his emotions by showing the importance of social values. Throughout the novel, the secretive ways of a powerful force are exploited, the book also shows the faults in a new technological world, and the author shows the naïve way an average citizen in a dystopian society thinks.
Why watch them burn? Why not enjoying the purpose of them? It was such a hurt to hear about them burning and being destroyed. Society should’ve used the books how they were supposed to be used. Enjoying each and every word in them. This was from the perspective and view of Faber, in my opinion. He didn’t like the idea of the burning of books at all. Faber was a Smart man. He was a literature teacher, so he loved books. He really disagreed with all the firefighters, who were actually starting fires instead of stopping them.
