Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of Great Britain, once said, “In politics, if you want anything said, ask a man; if you want anything done, ask a woman.” This quote is very well represented in the play Antigone. Being strong is defined as able to withstand great force or pressure. The protagonist, Antigone, presents to the audience that she is the strongest character. She sees the importance of justice and liberty before seeing the brick wall of the laws and suggested gestures of the kingdom.
