In Daniel chapter 10 God had given Daniel a vision that Daniel didn’t seem to get a complete grasp on. So chapter 10 described how Daniel’s emotional state was. Throughout those three weeks Daniel kept praying and begging God to give him the understanding of the vision he had received. In chapter 10 an angel was sent to Daniel to bring him the interpretation of that important prophetic message. The angel that was sent to Daniel went through a battle for 21 days in the heavenly realm that delayed the interpretation for Daniel. The very thing that hindered this angel for 21 days was a demonic spirit called the prince of Persia, until the angel had assistance from Michael.

Daniel recorded in advance what would occur in the empires and nations that would fight for control for centuries to come. It describes in detail, the rulers and other people who will live long after the prophecy of Daniel and those that lived centuries before Jesus Christ.
Daniel 11 is describes the rise and fall of many empires and rulers. It is divided into two parts. The first half of chapter 11 will deal with the time period of the Persian kingdom to the time period of Antiochus IV Epiphanes. Antiochus IV gives us a glimpse of how the Anti-Christ will be from a small level. Antiochus was fierce. He started to go after Egypt, but it was unsuccessful because the Roman fleet told him to stand down and return back. Antiochus felt so embarrass that he went and took out his rage on the Jews and slaughtered so many. Antiochus spared those that rejected their religion.
We can be thankful that God promises to send His Son back to earth to save mankind from self-annihilation in this coming horrible time of mass deceit and destruction. We can also thank God for the wonderful example of those who stood fast, who would not compromise with God's way and the awesome hope of the return of Christ, of resurrection to eternal life and of the establishment of His glorious Kingdom on
