In Romeo and Juliet characters in the story always try to do something good but it always ends bad. Someone in the story is always trying to do good but it always causes something bad to happen. “Mercutio is Romeo's sword-fight loving BFF. He is also a showstopper. He's dirty, funny, out of control” (Shmoop). Like before, Mercutio is a good friend and fights for Romeo and ends up dying for him which shows how loyal of a friend he is.
Friar Laurence and Juliet have a relationship that causes a lot of bad things while they are trying to do good for Romeo and Juliet's marriage. “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and this distilled liquor drink thou off” (Shakespeare 1117). Friar makes a fake potion to make Juliet look likes he's dead so she doesn't have to marry Paris. Once she gets buried Romeo and Friar will show up just as she wakes up and they can live happily ever after. But someone says that Juliet is dead and that causes two suicides and one homicide.
Juliet tries to be the smart person here by faking her death to her parents so she won't have to marry Paris. “Juliet's decision in Act IV to take the Friar's potion rather than enter into a bigamous marriage with Paris increases Juliet's stature as a tragic heroine” (Shmoop). Juliet ends up taking the potion with the help of Friar but the plans comes crashing down when Romeo's friends ends up telling him Juliet is
