From the PETA to standing up to cancer, she loves the thought of helping those in need and giving back to her community. She does a arrangement of volunteer and charity work including, working with military families, to visiting cancer patients, to volunteering at many animal shelters including the human society. Carrie being as successful as she is could just be like a lot of stars and sit back and enjoy her benefits. But she doesn't she educates her fans on important issues. Another recent cause she did is raising awareness of the pervasive existence of slavery with her husband, Mike Fisher. A personal thing she does is putting her family before her performance. It’s important that she makes time for herself. I think this is a good idea for important people with busy schedules. She took some time off to take care of her new baby boy which is now 7 months. She makes sure her relationships come before her work. She is very supportive about her husband, Mike Fishers hopes and dreams. She supports all of his decisions and he supports all of hers. That’s why I think Carrie Underwood should come speak to our school. She’s inspiring to all ages and she made all her dreams come true. She’s one of the only stars that hasn’t let the fame got to
Times have changed, and along with the times so has country music. American country music lovers have went from Loretta Lynn and Waylon Jennings, just two of the many classic oldies, to Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan, two very appealing country music artists. However, it is not only the tune of the music that has changed, it is the image, the appeal, and overall the type of icons the media is portraying these modern music stars as. Icons such as Lynn and Jennings had identifiable features within their music as well as their appearance that spoke sweet southern belle and rugged twang. Whereas Underwood’s and Bryan’s appeal now is much more sexualized than it was during the oldies. These changes affect the way modern day singers are marketed compared to former country music stars, instead of focusing on talent it is now looks.

In her life, she has overcame obstacles that most people in life most likely would not overcome such as rape, abuse, and even losing her daughter on Christmas Day. Despite of all she has gone through in her life, she is determine to help people to their lives better.
Carrie will either follow down the right path and better herself or let society and fame consume her and become worse, which is what she does.
...he also played in one of my all-time favorite movies The Color Purple, Which she was nominated for an academy award for best supporting actress. Oprah makes so much money she made over 51,000,000 for charitable programs. And she sends the money off to girl’s education in South Africa and to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Garth Brooks is one of the best selling artists in country music. His successes have put him where he is today. None of this came easy. This Oklahoma born and raised artist had to overcome many hardships and obstacles to get to where he is today. His hard work and dedication has brought him much success and many awards and achievements to prove.
Whitney Houston to most was a very amazing and talented person who allowed life and its mishaps break her down. As a young girl she grew up in the church where she felt like it was a sign from God that she should be singing. Freud believes that religion is an illusion, an attempt to gain control over the external world. In his eyes saying that anything is a sign from God depends on how you vision life. There were times in her life where she would produce more music just to get thru the thing that she would be going through. She would use her music as a defense mechanism to get away from all of the abuse, problems with her marriage, neglect, and drugs. Defense mechanisms are ways to distort reality to reduce anxiety: Rationalization is giving a positive reason to a stressor and regression is withdrawing from reality and going to pastime.
After a very successful start, Alicia Keys released her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys, in 2003. She proved that her success as a new artist wasn't a mistake, with her album reaching number 1. Alicia Keys also took home several Grammys for her 2nd album, including Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance by a Group or Duo with Vocals for her duet with Usher on the song "My Boo."
Growing up I remember my mom turning the music up whenever she heard a good song. The only genre, she listened to was country so I grew up loving country music. I now turn the music up whenever I hear a song Luke Bryan wrote because his music is so good. Growing up Luke Bryan was a normal child, but over the 20 or more years, so many devastating things have happened to his family that are hard for Bryan and his family to get over.
The importance of the Garth Brooks and Shania Twain Era on modern day country can’t be overstated. Blockbuster sales set the bar impossibly high for those who came after. There was also a massive crossover appeal to Garth that made him the best-selling artist in the United States in the Soundscan era (after 1991). Country music purists at the time did not like Garth’s penchant for dramatic rock touches to his arena concerts or Shania’s exploitation of the MTV generation with her sexy videos. Regardless, they provided an extended high for the industry and country music continues to chase that incredible crossover success with artist like Taylor Swift.
In 2015 she was announced as a judge for ninth season of the TV music show The Voice. Mariah Carey was born March 27, 1970 in Huntington, Long Island, New York. Her parents are Alfred Roy Carey and Patricia Carey who was a voice coach and opera singer. Mariah Carey shocked her family when she inherited her mother's vocals so she began singing lessons at age four. Today she is one of the most known artist but is also a film actress, music producer, songwriter, and she has won many awards. The day after she graduated high school she moved to New York City to pursue her music career. She started her career as a backing vocalist for Brenda K. Starr who gave columbia records Mariah’s demo tape at a party thrown by CBS records. The goal was to give the demo to a man named Jimmy Greenberg but it ended up in the hands of the president of Columbia records, after that her career took off.
Whether the views about Taylor Swift are positive or negative, she still has been extremely successful. Not only has she made lots of money because of her hit singles, platinum records and sold out concert tours, but she has also found a unique way to connect with her fans. Taylor Swift is both praised and ridiculed because of her music and the way she perceives certain situations, but the way I see it, there are going to be positive and negative aspects of every form of media. What sets Taylor Swift apart from the rest though, it how handles herself with grace, hard work and determination and I think that is something that everyone should respect and admire.
Ever since I was in eighth grade, I have been obsessed with Taylor Swift. She has been my role model since I was thirteen. When you look at most singers today, they have to be singing about drugs or alcohol, using vulgar language, or performing half-dressed. You never see Taylor Swift doing anything that she would be ashamed of later in life. On the other hand, she has had many relationships that have lasted short time periods. At least, she is not getting married for 72 days or even 24 hours such Kim Kardashian or Britney Spears. This is why I chose to write a research paper on her.
