Carla Washburn, an incredible, inspirational woman that has sadly witnessed the 3 closest male figures in her life all pass on. This has resulted in Carla becoming depressed over the unbearable experience. Carla embraced in giving back to the community and that’s not surprising because she’s a person of spirituality. While, Carla is the client and is suffering through grief, it’s likely she’d benefit immensely from creating a program to work with the kids in the community and may give her a sense of worth she’s been seeking since these 3 tragedies. Client shared numerous physical concerns that should be tackled right away. Client explained a fall at home was the initial reason for the visit. While client refuses to go to see a doctor it would be advised client check to make sure there’s no fractures in the bones. At the doctor it would be detrimental to discuss if the diabetes played any effect into the fall. Lastly, it would be ideal the client got a professional opinion on whether her medications are adequate. It’s evident that in order to tackle the psychological barriers, the physical concerns are also priority. Since the Mill’s closing the community has gone downhill with unemployment and crime skyrocketing. Carla should speak with Reverend Smith to possibly create programs to reduce the crime such as, after school programs as well as crime watch in community, and more police to assure safety for residents. The matter of lack of care and living alone could be solved by bringing a caretaker into the home of Carla if she’s open to the concept. Carla would benefit from carrying on with her relationship with sister, and improving on one with Loretta, Reverend, and especially
